  1. We wish to satisfy these needs with the programs developed on the foundation principles of 7 habits of Stephen Covey and the principles of Baldrige for Quality excellence.

 Action plan:

In 2013 we would focus on first three habits as listed by Stephen Covey

  1.             Be Proactive
  2.             Begin with the End in Mind
  3.             First Things First

Our Goal: All the children who participate in our development process would be able to perceive that:

  1. They are responsible persons
  2. They take initiative
  3. They choose their actions
  4. They do not blame others for their actions
  5. They do right things without being asked
  6. They plan ahead and set goals
  7. They do things that have meaning and make a difference
  8. They are an important part of PT’s modules and processes contribute to PT’s vision and mission, and look for ways to be a good citizen.
  9. They spend their time on things that are most important.
  10. That means they say no to things they know they should not do.
  11. They set priorities, make a schedule, and follow their plan.
  12. They are disciplined and organized.

During 2013 we will be focusing on this basic list. We add the elements from other four habits as we progress further.

Governing principles: PT will function on two basic foundations. 2013 will be spent on creating environment for ushering in these two basic approaches.

  1. The Baldrige process to bring in excellence in quality of educational services that PT renders.
  2. Habits of Stephen Covey as applied to school environment (Ref.: Leader in me).
  3. Baldrige principles: We will attempt to apply  Baldrige principles in our operations during 2013.
  4. Ubiquitous approach: We will build these concepts into every module we offer, every action/ procedure we follow thus developing overall culture for PT environment.

Our action plan:

Step one: To establish communication channel between PT and and our target population:

    1. Take an opportunity to interact with all the families individually. We will resort to personal counseling on one to one basis with our target segment. We will indicate the remedial measures that need to be taken.
    2. Once we do this, we will get insight into their needs.
    3. Initiate PUM (Performance Upswing Monitor) for Kids (a fortnightly on-line communication service) through which we will communicate with them.
    4. Through this we will bring about the family’s involvement in the development of their children; and in this sense they will be our partners to achieving our goal.
These will be integrated with the two foundation blocks discussed earlier.

Step two: Offering various program modules:

    1. This will be our revenue generating activities. All programs will be labeled under PT Quest. Initial programs visualized are:
        1. PT Quest_ Schools: TDM Level I & TDM General module for the schools
        2. PT Quest_ Corporate: Customized TDM module for the children of the employees of corporates.
        3. PT Quest_ Community: Customized TDM module for the children of communities.
        4. PT Quest_ Clubs: Customized TDM module for the children of the club members.

General approach to all our programs:

First: Affirmation. Introducing “To be proactive” in one’s life
       Second: Focus on communication
Third: Integrating creativity, critical reasoning and team working with the module content.
Fourth:Applying the concepts learnt to school academics.

          1. Each session (activity based) will incorporate integration of the same with the foundation principles (mentioned earlier) of PT.
          2. Each program will have a total duration period of 12 months. There will be ten levels for each program spanning ten years period. Each year one level will be introduced. Out of the ten years first three years will be spent on inducting the trainers etc. to the core values of PT and ensuring that every individual embraces the culture of PT completely. Next seven years they will work with full freedom. We believe that this will establish long lasting relationship. Our goal is to achieve 100% retention of the relationships we form while executing the project.

Training the trainers: Based on the above we appreciate that an appropriate model for training the trainers needs to be developed. Our process will be:

    • We will focus on exposing trainers to our core values
    • We will assess compatibility of individual’s core values with PT’s core values.
    • Initially we will increase their effectiveness through hand-holding. The sessions accordingly will be developed breaking them into “minute’s blocks”, so the trainers get detailed guidelines for conducting the sessions.
    • They will be exposed to international standards of training through webinars, Skype conferences, visits of foreign trainers to India for conducting training workshops etc.
    • We believe integration of core values of PT with its trainers, associates etc. will emerge gradually and we will allot needed time for the same.
