Our Stories

ResourcesMaking10  Why are some people more successful than others? Before answering this question, what is the definition of success? Success means different things to different people. Think of Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Albert Einstein, Warren Buffet, Dhirubhai Ambani, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates..etc. To each of these individuals success meant different things. Success is not measured by money alone. I think it is safe to assume that all of these individuals are considered successful in their own ways. While each one reached success in a different way there is one common path they all followed to reach their destination and that common path is the stories they told themselves. Stories of I CAN and I WILL. So what prevents us from achieving what we desire, it is the stories that we tell ourselves. If we really want to have change and progress in our life we have to change our stories.

At our core we are all totally free and limitless in our abilities. We are all capable of doing and achieving anything we desire. We see this spirit in children all the time, especially when they are babies. But, as we grow older we let our fears take control of our lives. There are many different types of fears, fear of failure, fear of social acceptance, fear of not being loved, fear of poverty, fear of success, etc. As we let these fears grow in us, we start to create boundaries for ourselves of what we can and cannot do. We start to develop stories, stories of limitations, stories of blame and in the process we forget that underneath these stories there is a fear of something. We are only born with two fears, fear of falling and fear of loud noise and even these go away within few months. So, where do these fears come from, they come from our environment, our families, friends, teachers, religious beliefs, etc. In order to overcome our fears, we have to develop faith in ourselves.

There is only one constant in the entire universe and that is CHANGE, so if we are not limiting our fears, our fears are growing and our faith is diminishing. We have to make our faith in ourselves so strong that it eliminates any fears that we may have; stroger the faith,  weaker the fear get. This is the only way to make real progress in life. Remember, the only constant is change, so if you are not progressing, you are decaying.

At Progressive Talents Inc., our goal is to provide the tools that will help each individual progress in their lives and reach their true potential. We hope you will join us on our mission to create a path for progress.
